Magnets: The Other Alternative Fuel.

The other day at WonderHowTo.com, Mike brought up superconductors and the use of magnets! His theory is that it's the best way to overcome our dependency on fossil fuels or any derivation we are currently racing towards as a solution. Forget oil, coal, or even converting french fry grease into bio-diesel. The answer is magnets and the power of magnetic fields! As he says this, Mike pulls up this video on Vimeo about magnetic fields and I have to admit, it is pretty cool. The artist who made the video animated the magnetic fields as they exist in the universe. in reality we cannot see them, but to me the artist is saying...

Wouldn't it be beautiful if we could?

So, our universe is made up of secret magnetic fields. And, based on Mike's theory of magnetic power being the fuel of the future, it seems like something realistic doesn't it? Here is an amazing video on the potential of superconductors.

I guess its time to stop putting band aids on our fuel problems and start to utilize a truly powerful resource that never needs to be renewed because it is non-depleting. Speaking of non-depleting, what about all this talk about zero-point energy. In this video Tom Valone gives an amazing speech about the ability to extract energy with a quantum vaccuum.

It seems like all we need to do is create a device that can discover the magnetic fields, we will be able to harness the "secret energy" the universe has ready for us. Now, you are thinking to yourself, "That is science fiction, Ford!" Well, just watch this video and tell me I am wrong. The best way to find our energy sources is to learn how to make a 3D magnetic feld viewer.

But that is only for when we can't make a magnetic field. WonderHowto.com shows you how to make your own magnetic field. That way, we never even need to hunt for one....we simply build one in the desert and voila! Power to the people.
It reminds me of the magnetic sand we played with as kids. Or even this how to build a homopolar motor you can make. It is easy to harness the power of magnets.
Then Mike brought up superconductors. He says, "Imagine being able to plug your computer in for 20 minutes a month. Or being able to fulfill all the power needs for an entire city with the charge of a phone battery? That is what superconductors allow us to do. They remove all the friction so energy can flow freely throughout the grid for longer amounts of time."

My thought is, the next time you get berated for using more than your share, think about how magnets will save us and enable everyone to have more than they need in the future.

I agree. If enough were created to support a large footprint, it would outstrip the natural gas supply and it would create higher gas prices.
